or Drunken Gentlemen II - is again slightly inspired by Carlo Carra... who painted a similar piece under the name.

"No autobiography of my life - please" beacause:

I'm dead - but consious - I'm floating on endless magical streams and would be green fairy dreams and I am more alive so it seems. Halucination or Sedation ... a short vacation - vaccin against the ordinary life: door to door.






-- Cold Lazarus : a bbc serie : about how in the future a group of scientist finds a manner to replay the memories of the lifetime of an alcohol addicted writter - who's last words are "No autobiography, please". Great serie.


Side Note: Never ever drink this brand of absinthe. It just taste like the ammount of alcohol - didn't even have the colour.

thanks ... it's my used & abused 1:1 Burst of Kroenen (Hellboy). Always a good listener & friend in good and bad times. Some go to churches - pray to the invisible ... but I seems to have my own Personal Jesus-head. eh... not really. :)

its cold, no pun with the name intended. the hard black against the soft table setting is striking, and the light complements the absinthe, taboo in the US, which for me as a viewer makes it all the more interesting and twisted, though not in the usual sense of the word.

It took me some time to discover a good real one. There is a lot of fake on the market - so is this brand too. - just high alcohol %. There are a few brands that can be called real absinthe... a few Swiss and France. Ah and a true Dutch one. (after a Swiss reciepe) which may call himself a real absinthe (lovely taste) - but very rarely distributed , such a shame. [but they sell it on Internet nowadays] By the way since 2005 Absinthe is freely getable in parts of Europe. So you can by it legally.

ow and it is all about the ritual and too enjoy it with some good friends. Like in the old France cafés where it was served arround 1880. The ice, the ice water... the spoon with the suckerlump. And just a tiny layer of absinth. As it is not to get drunk. By no means. - and it don't get you that high like drugs too.


thanks for taking the time to comment... and notice the sweet feeling of a that consious drifting inwards that provokes its spirituality and let out the artistic muse. -represented the colours - and flowers & butterfly - as I am an collagist lately the scarpel. The sinking in a form of a mild contemporary mediative feeling with little kick. - the mask itself.
